A Guide To Protect Children and Teens Affected By Sexual Violence

The purpose of this document is to develop a Lagos state referral pathway guideline that includes all important tools and technical checklists for establishing and managing a comprehensive referral pathway to help adolescent children and youth who have experienced gender-based violence (GBV).

This Gender-Based Violence (GBV) referral pathways guideline will help numerous gender-based violence and child protection service providers collaborate effectively at various levels, from local to state and divisional services facilities, and in urban settings, from ward to zone and city levels.

Currently, the state’s capacity for comprehensive case management and referral needs to be strengthened in a systematic and holistic way, and it should be mainstreamed into the government system to make it a survivor-centric comprehensive system that can be sustained in both development and humanitarian settings in Lagos State.

This publication has been produced with support from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) within the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) funding window for the multi-year Spotlight Initiative to eliminate violence against women and girls.
