A Lawyer by training with more than 18 years experience in the field of development. She worked as the Health Project Officer at the Empowerment and Action Research Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. She was a recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Fund for Leadership Development in the year 2000 and she executed a research project on socio-cultural economic and legal dimensions to the sexual and reproductive health and rights of female adolescent domestic workers in municipal Lagos).

Adebanke has a Masters’ Degree in Gender and Development (2007) from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK and a Masters of Law Degree LLM (2002) from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Nigeri
